Restaurant Santa Fe, a feast for the senses

I'd like to tell you about my favourite restaurant in the town where I live, Coín in southern Spain. Restaurant Santa Fe is a boutique hotel and restaurant set in a restored nineteenth century finca, conveniently situated on the outskirts of the town of Coín.
The two young Dutch owners, hoteliers and restaurateurs Marije and Jaap, combine discreet professionalism with a friendly, laid back atmosphere making you feel at home immediately. You can enjoy contemporary meals in one of the inside dining rooms or dine al fresco on a fragrant garden terrace next to the private pool under the shade of a 900 year old olive tree. The restaurant combines the traditional French kitchen with lighter Mediterranean touches, including freshly grown herbs from the garden. The contemporary a la carte menu is constantly evolving and adjusted according to season. This innovative menu includes several vegetarian dishes and is complemented by a well balanced and interesting wine list, including quality Spanish, French, Portuguese and Moroccan choices. Now, starting in April, Santa Fe will serve a lighter lunch menu with lots of salads, light soups and even some sandwiches. A reason to eat there even more often!
