Fishing Lake Lago El Dorado

Lago El Dorado is a new fishing venue situated in the pine woods within the beautiful complex of Ciudad del Cine in Coín, Andalucia, Spain. It has easy access by car. At Lago el Dorado you can enjoy course fishing combined with the beautiful weather of Southern Spain. Fish in the lake include barbel, carp, mullet, golden rudd, black bass, tench and many more. Lago el Dorado is a 'catch and release' venue and fishermen are asked to treat the fish with respect and return them to the water carefully. Landing nets are obligatory and if you don't have them you can rent them for 3 euros per day. The price for a full day's fishing is 15 euros (2 rods) and if you come with a group (min. 5 persons) the price will be 12 euros per person. The lake has been fully restored when the current owners took over. The facilities include pergolas, benches, toilets and now a wonderful bar and terrace where you can get a full English breakfast to start your fishing day. Lunch and drinks are also served for a very reasonable price. The home made paté delicious and I can also recommend the hamburger with baked potato. A pool table has just been installed in the bar so for those that don't want to fish you can enjoy a game of pool now. Furthermore there's an exchange library where you can bring books that you've read and take books that you would like to read. There is a full selection of rods, reels, landing nets, bait, hooks and lots more for rent or for sale. Fishing competitions are held regularly and if you want to come with a group of friends or fellow fishermen the whole lake can be reserved for you. 2012 Promotion: Barbel season has arrived now. Anybody that catches a barbel weighed by ourselves over 7lbs, will have their day's fishing money returned. So, 7lbs barbel and you fish for free! (Valid until 1st March 2012)
Lago el Dorado is now also available for other kinds of occasions should you want to organise something like a birthday party or any other kind of celebration. Mike Taylor and Zulema Sanchez, the friendly owners speak English and Spanish and will welcome you and give advise or help as much as they can to ensure that you will have a wonderful time fishing and relaxing by the lake.
